Statement from Senate President Mitch Carmichael on the resignation of Senator Paul Hardesty
Please see the following statement from Senate President Mitch Carmichael, R-Jackson, regarding the resignation of Senator Paul Hardesty, D-Logan. Senator Hardesty’s resignation became effective December 1.
“Upon the resignation of Senator Paul Hardesty from the West Virginia State Senate, I wish to personally commend and recognize Senator Hardesty for his noteworthy contributions to the Senate and his service to the people of West Virginia. Senator Hardesty and I have been friends for many years. He consistently exhibits an open mind and a willingness to work in a bipartisan manner. I wish him well in his future endeavors and trust that he will continue to contribute to the common good of our beloved state of West Virginia.”
